Deuter’s have utilised all their expertise when it comes to the Kid Comfort Air, creating both a child carrier with maximum ventilation and providing a comfortable ride for adult and child.

The Comfort Air features multiple adjustment systems, like the Vari stepped back length adjustment, to ensure the correct height for the wearer. Further to this, the adjustable child’s seat means you can keep fine-tuning the height as the child grows. The Aircomfort Futura System is what makes the Air special, the 5-point system ensures comfort throughout, starting with the contoured, thick padded shoulder straps and hip wings which are covered with a breathable, soft Wide Air Mesh to help keep you cool.

The spring steel frame provides a flexible and light structure which helps deliver maximum stability when loading your passenger, there is an audible ‘click’ sound that lets you know when the kick stand is in place. The tension allows the hot air to dissipate freely from three sides, helping regulate your temperature as well as the temperature of your passenger whilst the stabiliser straps allow exact positioning of the rucksack. The compact, ergonomically shaped hip fins have close set anchor points which gives a snug fit and spreads the load effectively to the hips. The Air also features a child specific, soft padded 5-point safety harness with a size adjustment function, detachable chin pad, height adjustable foot rest, safe side entry for the child’s seat and a sun/rain roof, there is even a little teddy bear included.

There is loads of storage available with a zipped pocket on hip belt, two mesh side pockets, a large zipped compartment underneath the seat and a stretch compartment on the back; you won’t have any trouble finding space for all your essentials. The only drawback we found was due to the framework the Comfort Air isn’t very compact, maybe something to consider when storing. Aside from that, the Comfort Air seems to have thought of everything with this child carrier, it is light, durable, breathable, has lots of storage space and is comfortable to wear over long periods of time.
