Whether you are taking the dog for a walk in the evening, attempting to find your car at night or stumbling through the campsite after dark, everything becomes easier if you have a torch to hand, but it isn’t always convenient to carry one around.

The I3T EOS is a compact, slim torch with a tail switch that has the ability of kicking out 180 lumens, all from a single AAA battery. At 3.5 inches it fits in the palm of even my tiny hands. It has a diameter of 0.59 inches and weighs just 41g, and it has an LED with a TIR optic lens, which produces a soft and balanced light beam.

There are two brightness levels to choose from: Level 1 produces 180 lumens, which is super bright for its tiny little body, but due to being powered but a single AAA battery you will only get about 21mins on this setting; Level 2 uses only 5 lumens, which may not sound a lot compared to the 180, but it is more than enough for most activities without blinding you and the people around you in small spaces. In this mode you will get 16 hours of continuous run time.

This torch will produce a 60-meter beam distance, this a big and defined wide hotspot. It is turned on via the integrated tail switch; you can half press it for a momentary light and this is how you switch between the two brightness levels. You then need to press the button all the way in to hold your chosen level. It is equipped with a dual direction pocket clip that allows for multiple carrying options such as a pocket, backpack strap or hat. It also has a double helix body knurling for a comfortable, solid grip.

The I3T EOS has limited features - there is no strobe or SOS beacon - but it does have a strong body with an IPX8 waterproof rating, plus you can easily keep spare batteries on you to ensure you never run out of juice when you need it. RRP $19.99
