The British coat manufacturer Hancock are the top of their trade. Hancock’s coats are hand-made in Scotland using traditional production methods and vulcanised rubber, making modern and stylish raincoats which are 100% waterproof and will keep you dry even in the heaviest downpour.

We were sent their Article 41 raincoat in Navy, which is one of their bestselling items and comes in a choice of seven colours. It is a beautifully cut single-breasted raincoat with an exposed top button. It has front welt pockets and a button through the rear vent, finishing off an elegant look. It’s classy and practical; I haven’t worn a coat equal to it!

This traditional cut is perfect to wear over a suit or blazer during your commute to work, or even more casually with a pair of jeans.

The Article 41 coat would make a wonderful gift to a loved one. In my opinion, it is one of the best raincoats available and will give years of use. After wearing it for a while, it feels as if it will get better with age as it starts to mould around me.

At this price the coat is certainly an investment, however it is worth every penny as it can be worn year-round and makes you feel a million dollars!

As a testament to the quality of the coat, Hancock also offer a free restoration and repair service, as they expect them to last for years without loss of appearance or function. If your Hancock coat is in need of restorative care, they are happy to assist, free of charge. And if there’s an issue with the seams or pockets that they cannot fix, they will replace your coat with a new one, which is not a service you get on many items these days. Brilliant! RRP £650.00
