Thinktank Mindshift Exposure 15 Shoulder Bag

Mindshift claim there is no such thing as bad weather, which is why they created the Exposure 15, a storm-resistant shoulder bag designed for the active photographer, made from waterproof sailcloth panels, with storm flaps, water-repellent DWR fabric, polyurethane coating underneath, AquaGuard zips and a tough Tarpaulin bottom, to ensure your gear is well protected from whatever the elements might throw at you. Available in Black or Solar Grey designs, it has exterior dimensions of 17.3” W x 12.2” H x 7.1” D and interior dimensions of 15.7” W x 10.4” H x 5

The BackLight from Mindshift comes in three sizes 18L, 26L and 36L but we will be focusing on the 18L in this review as this is the one that we received. The 18L has a gear profile of two standard DSLR bodies with lenses attached and 1–3 standard zoom lenses or two Mirrorless bodies with lenses attached and 3–5 lenses as well as up to a 13” laptop and a 10” tablet and space for your personal gear in the 5L front compartments, it takes up to a maximum lens size of 300mm f/2.8 or 150–600mm f/5–6.3 attached to a body.

Peak Design Everyday Sling 5

The Everyday Sling 5 is the smallest and lightest bag in Peak Designs’ Everyday range, best suited for organisation, transport, and quick-access to essentials, plus it can accommodate a camera, drone or everyday gear. It can be worn as an across-the-body sling or as a waist bag with the convertible strap, allowing for a quick-adjustment that can be loosened and then tightened again for accessing gear on the fly with one hand.

Peak Design Everyday Sling 10L

Peak Design are well known for their practical camera bags and the Everyday Sling is no different, as the name suggest this 8L/10L bag has been designed for those days that require less gear or photographers that prefer the minimalist approach. Constructed with a single-shoulder strap, the bag and all your equipment is easily accessible, with the Flexfold dividers ensuring everything is organised, the 2 strong and padded dividers can be reconfigured or completely removed to fit your needs.

Waterfield iPhone Camera Bag

As digital cameras on smartphones get better and better, it is only natural that high-quality accessories should emerge onto the market. After all, makes sense that you would want to keep your mini camera kit protected and close at hand whilst on the move. Mobile photographers shouldn’t have to miss out on beautiful camera bags, and I’m not convinced there are many more stunning than the Waterfield iPhone Camera bag.

Think Tank Photo Retrospective 7 Camera Bag

Think Tank Photo was born in 2005 and have been producing professional style camera bags ever since - designed by photographers who know what you need when out in the field (literally and figuratively speaking). The Retrospective 7 is a good looking bag, in pinewood (that’s khaki between you and me) coloured sand-washed 100% cotton canvas, it has been treated with a water-repellent coating that makes any drizzle you may encounter bead off without soaking into the bag.

Tamrac G Elite 32 Bag

The Tamrac G Elite 32 Bag continues to use the innovative butterfly opening system and is available in two sizes, 26 or 32. We will be taking a closer look at the 32 today, the bigger of the two bags with an interior size of 33 x 51 x 18 cm, so spacious it made my gear look a little insubstantial (two DSLR bodies 4 lenses, tripod, flash and battery pack). Tamrac say that the 32 will actually fit tablets and laptops up to 15" and Lenses up to 18" (35.56 cm) and with such space it’s easy to see how, but it doesn’t stop there.

Think Tank Shape Shifter 17 V2.0

The popular Shape Shifter from Think Tank has had an upgrade to version 2.0. The magic behind the Shape Shifter is in the fact it can be compressed down by 3 inches when the gear is removed making it a highly versatile travel companion. The Shape Shifter comes in two sizes (15 or 17) and can be carried by the handle or worn with the generously padded, contoured shoulder harness, with air channel (to avoid that sweat patch), sternum strap and removable waist belt.

MindShift Moose Peterson MP-1 V2.0 Camera Bag

For those into their wildlife photography (and even those who aren’t), you might recognise the name Moose Peterson as one of America’s best-known wildlife photographers. Peterson has been published in over 130 magazines worldwide, so it only seems fitting that the designers at MindShift (a Think Tank Company) collaborated with him to create the ultimate camera bag. Now, they have collaborated again to re-visit and improve the original model.
