With a touch of a button, we can have a face to face conversation with a friend on the other side of the world, we can switch off the lights just by speaking the right words… I even recently reviewed a self-stirring spoon just like Mrs. Weasley’s! Maybe we can’t perform the Levicorpus on people that annoy us, but we don’t have to deal with dragons either, so swings and roundabouts.

Kymera Magic Wand

For the last few weeks, I have been dazzling friends with the Kymera Magic Wand, a very cool gadget from The Wand Company. The Wand is designed to be used as a universal remote, where with a flick of the wrist and an ‘Expelliarmus’ you can turn devices on and off, their volume up and down and change channels. Aimed at a very specific market, the wand is a suitable replacement for the basic remote control, and if you’re a fan of the Harry Potter Universe like me the novelty does not wear off.
