The Supertech R Boot is Alpinestars’s iconic riding boot, worn by champions both past and present, available in men's EURO sizes 42 – 46 and come in seven designs based around a combination of black, white, red, yellow and grey colour scheme. These boots use a durable and technical microfibre upper construction offering good levels of flexibility for a comfortable and natural movement, the microfibre main shell is water resistant and reduces the overall weight. The redesigned front flex area has been made from over-injected TPU on a breathable mesh with shaped reliefs for better durability against abrasion whilst the top gaiter follows the contours of the leg and is made from a flexible high-grade synthetic leather, reinforced with PU. The rubber compound sole provides a sturdy grip and allows for natural movement when changing positions and putting pressure on the foot-peg.
The external TPU shin protection is ergonomically shaped, wraps around the outer calf and is engineered to spread and dissipate impact energy across the entire surface while remaining compact. There is an integrated replaceable co-injected TPU/Aluminium toe slider with a new easy-screw fixing concept,which protects the outer toe box structure from abrasion, both this and the polymer heel plate slider are fully replaceable for extended life span. The Supertech has a flexible accordion microfibre stretch at the Achilles for flexibility, the full-length medial-facing microfibre panel provides grip on the bike and protects from abrasion and heat, there is a separate internal bio-mechanical ankle brace that works with the outer structure of the boot to form a protective system for the foot, ankle, and leg.
The new, soft TPU stretch panels on the sides make for easy closure, the zip is made from TPU to reduce friction in the event of a crash, whilst the Velcro tab locks the zip pull closed, keeping it flat and secure. The shin plate features a new, micro-adjustable ratchet top closure and the removable anatomic foot bed is sculpted for a precise fit.
