The Torpedo Versa 500 from Xlab is a carbon fibre aerodynamic aerobar hydration system - in other words, a super swanky water bottle that you can attach to your bike for easy access. The Torpedo is compatible with Garmin bike computers and multisport watches, and it also comes with the Aero Computer Mount so you can use it with non-Garmin computers. You can either raise the computer mount up to tuck in an extra bottle for race day or lower it down for a standard bottle to provide you with a better view on training days.

The Torpedo features an on-the-go computer tilt adjustment that allows you to tilt the screen whilst you ride to avoid glare from the ever-changing sunshine and riding direction. It has a new Super-Sealed, no-leak bottle design, and with the dolphin breather valve in the top of the bottle it makes sure liquids stay inside. The bottle easily attaches to the bike by clipping onto the aerobar extensions, which eliminates the need for extra zip-ties, rubber bands or electrical tape to hold the system in place. It fits 22.2mm diameter aerobar extensions, but Xlab will custom make (for a price) special oversized clamps if you need a larger size.

The 16-layer unidirectional carbon mount has a no-rattle, no-bounce system which works well and keeps the bottle stable throughout the ride, and it can be adjusted to the widest range of cockpit configurations (70mm-150mm center-to-center) without compromising the aerodynamic profile. It accommodates up to 20° of aerobar extension rotation, the new 2-Strap system allows for more mounting positions than previous 4-Strap models, and its compact and minimal mount design requires 80mm less space than previous Torpedo models. The large valve and two straw positions make it easy to drink from and refill, and the bite valve decreases the chance of swallowing air when taking a drink. There are two lid styles - a solid refill lid for adding power, tablets and fluid and the slotted refill lid for adding tablets and fluid.
