Nothing is better than a lovely frothy coffee or hot chocolate from your favourite café, but buying a coffee every single day can be expensive even if the tasty foam makes it seem worth it. However, with SCOTT’s Milkissimo milk frother, it is now possible to make these delicious frothy beverages at home!

The Milkissimo allows you to easily froth cold or hot milk in seconds and is ready to add to any beverage of your choice. I loved testing out the milk frother as it was so easy to use - you just add in the whisk to the bottom (which clicks easily into place), add in your milk, put the lid on and press the start button on the front. With one press of the button, the Milkissimo heats and froths your milk simultaneously. However, if you press the main button twice it will just froth your milk without heating it for cold foam options, and when pressed three times your milk is just heated without the use of the frothing whisk at all.

For me personally, I love a frothy hot chocolate. I just poured in my milk, added in some hot chocolate powder, and turned the Milkissimo to the heat and froth setting. Just minutes later I had perfectly frothed hot chocolate. All it needed was a few marshmallows on top and it was the perfect treat of an evening. However, it was also great for creating frothy milk for coffee for my family. I even got to try my hand at some coffee art using the foam!

I was very impressed by how easy the Milkissimo was to clean. It is always a fear that the benefits of lovely, frothed milk may come at the expense of a difficult-to-clean appliance. However, the milk jug is made with a non-stick surface so all it takes is a quick rinse under the sink to remove any surface residue and then it is ready and easy to wash up at your leisure. I was even pleased that the whisk pops out so easily so you can be sure to carefully clean the jug without awkwardly having to try and get around the whisk. The whisk itself can then also be easily cleaned to ensure there is no nasty build-up there either.    

My only complaint is that the lead is a little short. It is not a large appliance, but if you do not have a close plug near your coffee station this may cause a little more faff to get your froth further away. However, this seems a minor sacrifice for its efficient frothing abilities!

If you like a café coffee that is just that little extra special with foam on top, the Milkissimo is a perfect choice for you as it can easily and quickly turn any regular beverage into a frothy dream. If you are a hot chocolate fanatic like me this machine is a game changer – no more microwaving or heating milk on the hob, all can be done with this efficient little device.
