YETI Yonder 34oz (1L) Water Bottle (Seafoam)

£28

Whether on your morning run or whilst on a hike to keep up with New Year's resolutions, the YETI Yonder 1 Litre Water Bottle is designed to be your lightweight companion to keep you hydrated and ready for whatever adventure is next. Now, I’ve tested many water bottles over the years, spanning from high-end to affordable options, and the YETI Yonder sits somewhere in the middle for price. At just under £30 for a bottle, it's on the higher end for the average user, but it is backed by YETI’s design that promises to make it leakproof, lightweight and easy to take with you on the go.

The bottle weighs in at an impressive 0.3kg when empty, making it the perfect bottle for taking with you on the go without being weighed down. This is something that I have been on the hunt for because many water bottles on the market today are insulated, which is great for keeping your drink cold, but this adds additional weight to the bottle – especially when it is full. Therefore, the Yonder is YETI’s lightweight answer to this, to provide a great drinking vessel without any excess weight.

My favourite aspect of the Yonder Bottle is the tether cap, which ensures that you never lose the cap when drinking. This is ideal for hikes or on commutes, so you’re never left without a lid if you drop it. However, I also love that the screw top cap makes the bottle completely leakproof, which, as someone who usually throws my bottle in my bag, is great as I don’t have to worry about leaks damaging things. My only note is that as the bottle isn’t insulated, it does produce condensation on the outside when your drink is extra cold which can make it a little wet in your bag – but this is to be expected with any non-insulated bottle.

One of my biggest concerns when it comes to a water bottle, aside from how well it serves as a water bottle, is how easy it is to clean, and the Yonder is super easy. The bottle can be simply placed in the dishwasher on the top rack, with the lid and gaskets in the utensil basket. However, I also like that the opening is quite large, so you can easily hand wash it should this be your preference or if you’re without a dishwasher. Even after a few washes, the transparent light blue-green colour of the seafoam colourway I tested still looks great. The overall look of the bottle is great with a sleek transparent plastic bottle and no-fuss black tether lid – just about anything you need from a lightweight water bottle.

If you’re looking for a reliable litre water bottle that you can take with you to the gym, on a morning hike or various activities as you stick to your New Years’ resolutions, then the YETI Yonder is an easy pick. Plus, with 5 limited edition, and 6 core colours, you are sure to find a colourway to match your gym bag or yoga mat!
