Designed for streamers, the HyperX QuadCast 2 USB Microphone brings together all the things fans loved about the original QuadCast, but now with new and innovative features to enhance your voice recordings and ensure you are heard in crystal clear quality.

The HyperX QuadCast USB Microphone features a new full aluminium silhouette providing a sleek and professional look to the entire microphone setup. The colourway we got to test out was in the ‘Frost’ colour, which is a lovely pale grey colour, with light blue accents. The overall look of the microphone is super sleek, and with the light blue and grey colourway, it would easily fit into many set-ups.

The weighty aluminium shock mount and desktop stand provide a sturdy base for the microphone to sit, whilst ensuring that even if your desk gets knocked, the microphone won't pick up any of this noise during recordings. This helps produce crystal clear recordings that will help you connect to your audience or chat with your friends without disruptions. However, if you prefer a different set-up (for example, with a boom arm), the microphone can be detached from the stand thanks to the spring-loaded pins and connected to other setups.

One of the most important things about the HyperX QuadCast 2 is how recorded audio sounds, and the microphone is impressive, delivering a studio-quality recording.  The microphone offers 24-bit 96kHz recording, which ensures every stream or podcast has super clear and high-quality audio. However, even outside of the content world, the microphone is excellent for online calls and meetings, adding a touch of professionalism not only because of the look of the microphone, but also due to the clarity of the audio. Therefore, even if you aren’t a huge gamer, the microphone is an excellent choice for those working from home, looking for a great microphone for online meetings and business calls.

For recording, the HyperX QuadCast 2 has 4 selectable polar patterns, which allow you to adjust the microphone’s directionality so you can capture the best audio possible. This includes cardioid, omnidirectional, bi-directional or stereo patterns, which ensure you can focus the microphone on your voice, or multiple voices in a podcast set-up, to ensure every voice and sound is heard in detail. These modes can be changed via the multi-function knob on the front of the microphone. As you change between each mode, the top of the microphone will illuminate with different symbols around the top ring for easy identification of which polar pattern you are using. This makes changing patterns mid-stream or game super easy, to ensure you are always heard.  Plus, to mute the microphone, you just tap the top of the QuadCast 2 and it will illuminate to show you it is paused. This helps to quickly mute your microphone when needed, but ensure you don’t forget to unmute when you want to speak again!

This multi-functional knob on the front was developed from feedback from fans of the QuadCast, to provide an all-in-one control for many aspects of the microphone. The multi-function knob offers you the choice between microphone gain, playback volume and microphone monitoring volume, as well as to switch polar patterns. This is great as it provides even greater control over the microphone to ensure every second sounds exactly how you want it.  Furthermore, the microphone can even be further customised via HyperX NGENUITY software, which allows you to fully tweak the microphone's audio settings and lighting to get it to sound and operate exactly how you’d like.
