Cotton Carrier HYKER Slingbag for Camera
£194
Designed for the photographer on the go, the HYKER Slingbag from Cotton Carrier is the perfect option for photographers who want quick access to their equipment to capture the world around them at a moment's notice. The bag, made from premium materials, offers an all-around useful bag solution where you have plenty of space to store your equipment and personal items in a lightweight design that keeps your camera right on your front for easy access.
The HYKER Slingbag offers a lovely monochrome bag that features a large, across-body strap that sits over your shoulder and then connects at the front with an added clip for additional support. The exterior feels high quality, with everything from the zips and pockets to the front Twist & Lock camera attachment panel designed for ease of use.
One of the most notable features of the bag is the front Twist & Lock camera attachment, which allows you to connect your camera directly to the front when wearing the bag. Your camera clips into Cotton Carrier’s patented Twist & Lock mechanism, so when you need your camera, you just twist and remove your camera from the bag, and to return it to the bag, you slot it in and twist. This provides a super secure hold for your camera, which is exactly what you need when you’re on the go. But instead of having to store your camera in the bag behind you, it remains on your front, ready to quickly access should a snapshot opportunity show up. To use the camera mount, you just have to attach the included Twist & Lock mechanism to your camera body. Plus, I like that the chest mount even has an attachable quick-release tether, which you can attach to your camera for added protection and prevent any accidental drops!
However, this doesn’t mean that the bag itself is pointless – quite the opposite! The main section of the HYJER Slingbag offers a whole range of pockets and compartments to store extra photography gear, as well as your personal items. The main section of the bag offers plenty of space to throw in a light jacket, your wallet, keys and even some snacks for adventuring on the go. In this section, you can also put the free lens travel case that comes with the bag, which provides extra storage for your lenses or small bits of equipment.
The Lens case has a solid exterior offering added protection for your items inside, and adjustable sectioning parts so you can move these to securely hold your lenses in place. This takes up a good section of the bag, but there is still plenty of room left inside for other things and equipment, thanks to its 12L capacity. Then, the bag has an adjustable section to hold your tripod, as well as a few zipped sections for keeping things such as your phone, keys and tablets safe and secure. Across the bag, every zip is super smooth and features a zip garage to help keep water out and maintain the overall waterproof nature of the bag. Just maybe remove the camera on your front if you get stuck in a rain shower!
Overall, the HYKER Slingbag is the perfect accessory for photographers on the go. The bag offers the perfect blend of carrying space for all of your accessories, whilst keeping your camera securely fastened to your front for snapping shots on the go. I love that you can just swing the bag around to access the back, without needing to remove any straps as you would with a traditional rucksack. If you’re looking for a flexible bag style that will keep your equipment secure, whilst still keeping access to your camera, then the HYKER Slingbag from Cotton Carrier is the perfect choice.
