Well, mostly on its own; you still have to input the water, coffee and filter, and preset the timer, but once you do, you can get perfectly brewed coffee to your specific tastes ready for you when you need it. This means you can preset it to come on ready for the morning rush, or even for the afternoon pick-me-up without having to get out of bed or up from your desk beforehand.
