With multiple streaming devices, set-top boxes and consoles all connected to one TV, many of us now have a plethora of remotes. In fact, I was impressed to learn that the SofaBaton U3 is actually compatible with more than 500,000 devices, including more than 6,000 brands. However, as more streaming devices are being developed, the SofaBaton U3 is continuously being updated through the cloud database to ensure that your remote is always up to date to support all your TV-watching needs. Therefore, for IR devices, compatible Bluetooth devices, and RF433/RF315 devices, the SofaBaton U3 can be used to control them all, and so combines the control of multiple devices into one multi-mode smart remote. Thanks to this range of connectivity, the SofaBaton U3 is the perfect option for controlling multiple devices at once. Plus, it can even transmit commands to your devices even if they’re tucked away in your TV stand thanks to its efficient, strong, non-directional control.  

I like that when you pick up the SofaBaton U3, its 2.4-inch vibrant colour LCD Display automatically wakes and is ready to use. The remote allows you to input commands, so you can turn on the TV and navigate through your streaming platforms with ease. This navigation is supported by the clear-to-read screen, with every button and the scroll wheel being super clear and intuitive to use no matter how tech-savvy you are. However, I was super thrilled to see that you can input your own custom sequences using macros or even remap the keys to make navigation even simpler. For the macros, you can input things such as a movie or gaming mode, which can activate your TV, streaming device or console, and even things like sound bars and lights to deliver an immersive experience with just a single remote. This removes complicated multi-remote setup processes, which is ideal for the entire family. Then, for even greater control, the remote comes with Air Mouse navigation for more tactile navigation, or you can even speak directly to your remote using Google’s Voice Control to make it do all the work for you.

To support such a nifty device, the SofaBaton U3 is built with a 1200mAh rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, which offers a pretty good battery life lasting a few weeks before it needs to be recharged. Then, when it does need recharging, you just need to plug it in. However, I did see that you can get a dock to put the remote in, which might be a good option, in case you’re worried about it running out of charge mid-TV show!

Ultimately, if you’re sick of having multiple remotes, with the one you need always seeming to go missing down the back of the sofa, the SofaBaton U3 offers a unique single remote option that will save on coffee table clutter and make controlling your devices so much easier. It's super simple to use, and with its enhanced connectivity and reliable RF/IR and Bluetooth control, you can seamlessly navigate your set-up to make worrying about which remote control to use a thing of the past. Whilst it is a bit of an investment, its wide-ranging applications and constant upgrades make it one you can make easier knowing it will be your everyday remote which everyone in the family can use.
