I’ve noticed a big shift in the beauty space in recent years, away from makeup and more towards skincare and skin treatments to give you the best foundation to look radiant and feel more sculpted. With this, light therapy and EMS devices have grown in popularity because they help to tackle different areas such as skin elasticity, fine lines, or redness. However, many of these are stand-alone devices, and so I was excited to see the Firmify from Sensse Beauty, which combines EMS, light therapy and Radio Frequency (RF) to deliver a 3-in-1 tool that does it all!

The Firmify comes in a lovely, well-presented box, and I have to note that Sensee Beauty really does know how to package their products well, as the whole thing was beautifully wrapped, really making it feel like a treat to open. The Firmify comes packaged with a tube of Sensee Beauty’s GlowPrep Conductive Gel as well as a USB Charging cable. The whole device feels super durable yet lightweight enough to hold up for each 4-minute treatment, with intuitive control buttons on the front.

So how does it work? The Firmify has different RF and EMS modes, as well as LED options, all of which work together to deliver a range of treatment options. The RF settings are designed to help with skincare absorption, boost collagen production for better elasticity and even contour your face through heat, with its temperature ranging from 46-50°C. According to Sensse Beauty, this is the perfect temperature range to simulate collagen production. Then, the LEDs offer red, blue, green and yellow light therapy options, which offer treatments ranging from collagen production to smoothing, calming and dealing with blemishes. Finally, the EMS modes are designed to support facial contouring, helping define muscle toning, as well as collagen boosting and eye depuffing. As you can see, all of these modes aim to target a multitude of different skin concerns with a range of treatment options, and all in just one too!  

The Firmify is super easy to use, with the front of the device allowing you to seamlessly choose your preferred mode and then adjust the intensity of your treatment to suit your skin's needs and sensitivity. The settings include a cleansing mode, an absorb mode, contour mode, collagen mode, eyes mode and cool mode. The cleansing mode combines green LEDs with RF and EMS to deliver a deep clean, prioritising warm heat and gentle vibration. This is perfect for leaving your skin feeling super refreshed and clean. Then, the Absorb Mode is designed for use when you have put on your favourite skin serums and skincare, as it uses red light therapy and heat to gently massage your skin and help you make your expensive skincare products melt in a little easier.

The contour mode focuses on EMS, alongside yellow light therapy and RF, which, when moved across your skin, is designed to depuff and help tone your face to leave it feeling more contoured. Similarly, the collagen mode combines primarily RF and EMS to help stimulate collagen production deep in your skin, whilst also tightening your face for a more toned appearance. Across these modes, but especially those using EMS and RF, they require the Sensse Beauty GlowPrep Gel, which helps to provide a smooth layer to gently glide the tool over your skin, whilst preventing any dragging to help keep your results working.  Then, the eye mode is designed to gently support your under-eye area, delivering heat, EMS and vibration to smooth your favourite eye creams under your eyes to help them feel refreshed. However, just be careful not to put the Firmify on your upper eyelid or orbital bone!

One of the settings I was most excited to see was the cooling mode. This is an innovative cooling setting that uses blue LEDs and 10°C temperatures to provide the perfect post-treatment refresh. I personally have quite sensitive skin, so a cooling setting is the perfect option for post-treatment cooling or to help soothe your skin or tackle redness when your skin is feeling a little irritated.

Each treatment option is just 4 minutes, so its super quick and easy to use. You just gently glide the Firmify over your face, giving 2 minutes to each half to ensure an all-over even treatment for the best results. I was glad to see that each treatment is super quick, so you’re not spending hours doing treatments and can instead get on with your day – and hopefully see the results you want!

Overall, the Firmify is an innovative 3-in-1 treatment tool that combines everything great about light therapy, EMS and RF treatments. With a wide range of treatment options available, you can target many of the key concerns a lot of us have about our face, ranging from elasticity to redness or even uneven skin tone. Whilst I cannot speak to the long-term effects of the Firmify, I think it’s a great option if you’re interested in light therapy, EMS and RF and have seen great results in the past. Just be sure to check all the cautions on the Sensee Beauty website to make sure it's perfect for you!
