With Father’s Day arriving very soon, knowing what to get the Father in your life can be a real challenge. One of the best things you can get – especially for the dad who has everything – is a new wallet. It’s a practical gift that will remind them of you every time they take their wallet out!

We got to test out the Cardholder Pro in a lovely dark maroon colourway called Desert Red. The cardholder is accented with black details, including a black bottom button and a silicone band around the middle. The cardholder is made from 100% recycled aluminium, which gives a premium finish to the cardholder and helps keep the slimline finish of the smart wallet. 

The Ekster Cardholder Pro is known for its slimline design and includes an upgraded metal button and internal mechanism compared to previous models, which used plastic, for added durability. The wallet can hold between 1-14 cards, as well as some notes. The black band around the middle provides an expandable storage area where you can slot notes or extra loyalty cards that keep all your things compact and secure together.

My favourite thing about the Ekster Cardholder Pro, and many of Ekster’s cardholders and wallets, is the fanned-out delivery of your cards using the bottom metal button. By pushing the button, your cards spring out in a layered format, which makes it super easy to choose the card you need, and then return your card to the cardholder for it to be stored securely and in the compact metal case. 

One of the big perks of the Ekster Cardholder Pro is that the wallet blocks RFID signals, which can be used by thieves to wirelessly steal card details or money from your account. The added protection ensures that no matter where you keep your wallet, you know that your personal details are safe and kept together securely.

Cons: 

• The Cardholder Pro is super slimline and lightweight, which means that I sometimes couldn’t feel it in my pocket, so I did panic a few times thinking I’d dropped it.
