GuliKit are a brand known for delivering leading gaming accessories that help make every gaming experience more fun. This focus on design and personal gaming experience is evident in the TT Max Controller, an incredibly fast wireless controller designed to enhance gaming with its speed and responsiveness.
When I first opened the GuliKit TT Max Controller, I was super impressed because it comes in its own case that protects the controller when not in use. Opening the case, the controller was super sleek, with the entire body of the controller and the buttons all in black. However, despite its more subtle monochromatic look, the controller has been designed with leading gaming controller features that aim to take your gaming experience to the next level.
The controller is regarded as the fastest wireless controller by GuliKit, and this is due to the 730Hz polling rate, 2.62ms button latency and 2.72ms joystick latency. This minimal latency ensures that every movement or button press is delivered with minimal delay, even over a wireless Bluetooth connection. To support the controllers' fast wireless connection, it actually comes with a Hyperlink 2 Adapter, which you can plug into your console or device for enhanced connectivity so you can achieve the fastest wireless speed possible for gaming. This is considerably faster than many controllers on the market, and with a wired connection, the TT Max controller delivers a 1000Hz polling rate, with a 2.16ms button latency and 2.4ms joystick latency. This remarkably quick response time makes gaming using the controller feel super advanced, as every reaction is faster and more precise, giving you a great edge over your friends.
However, the TT Max’s benefits don’t end there, as the entire thing, from the buttons to the joysticks have been designed for optimised gaming too. One of the most notable features is the controller's 720-degree Tension Adjustable TMR Joysticks. These have been designed for precise shooting and accurate racing games in mind, and so, provide a super smooth and ultra-responsive gaming experience. To aid the precision of the joysticks, they are also anti-drift TMR joysticks and feature an anti-snapback mode, which helps eliminate stick drifting and ensures that every movement is intentional. Collectively, these features provide a super great gaming experience that feels smooth, precise and responsive.
The controller also features a built-in gyro, which picks up on motion controls to provide a more immersive gaming experience that is well-suited to the needs of many Switch games. Alongside this, the controller also has a patented magnetic levitation vibration motor. The Gen 2 Super Haptic Vibration of the controller ensures a super immersive experience, so if you’re hit or spin out in a game, you’ll feel it in your controller. However, these vibrations can also be adjusted to your preferred vibration mode, with three pre-set options of HD Rumble Mode, Super Haptic Mode and Rotor Vibration Mode. These modes ensure you can customise the vibration to deliver your own personal immersive gaming experience.
The back and top of the controller offer even more versatility, with the top featuring Gen 2 256-smart triggers, which feature a 2-in-1 magnetic hall effect design. These triggers provide high precision and long-lasting durability, but arguably their most interesting feature is that they are designed so you can actually toggle between digital triggers for an ultra-fast hit rate, to analogue triggers, which cater more for precision and press-sensitive actions that are required for some games. This ability to switch between these two modes makes the triggers even more versatile, which in turn delivers a super advanced gaming experience.
On the back of the controller, there are 4 removable metal paddles. Now I’d never seen these on a controller before, so I was super intrigued. The paddles are designed to help enhance your gameplay with completely customisable paddles that can be mapped to your specific play style. The 4 paddles can be programmed to replace the ABXY controls, and so allow you to keep your fingers on the joysticks and just press the back paddles instead. This is a brilliant option for intense gaming, as it saves precious moments which could be the difference between winning and losing. However, they can also be removed, so the paddles are completely down to your personal preference, but they add yet another advanced and customisable feature to the controller.
This ability to customise your controller spans the entire design, down to the very joystick caps, buttons and D-pads the controller has. Whilst I found the controller worked great for my range of gaming needs, I love that the controller comes with replaceable options to suit a range of specific game needs. First, the anti-friction joystick caps can be swapped, with the controller coming with three different height options for customised stick control. The ABXY buttons can then also be changed from a PC layout to a Switch layout, and the D-pad can be swapped from a 4-way direction to an 8-way direction pad. These swaps are designed to help customise the controller to your specific game needs, and in the process help optimise your gameplay. I like that, unlike other controllers where these adjustments would likely be an additional fee, the TT Max comes with these options as standard to ensure that you can create a controller truly customised to your needs. Plus, you can even customise the star-ring RGB lights on the controller, adding an extra layer of personalisation to your gaming setup.
Overall, if you’re looking for a new gaming controller that can take your gaming experience to the next level with unmatched speed and enhanced customisability, then the GuliKit TT Max Controller is an excellent option.
