Wires have an awful habit of getting tangled up on my desk, and so I was on the hunt for a solution that would keep everything organised whilst also looking sleek and stylish.

The Hexcal Magnetic cable aims to make wire tangles a thing of the past with a 1-metre-long USB-C to USB-C cable that usefully coils up into one magnetic loop for easy storage. Straight out of the box, the cable looks great with a grey and black woven material. The textured wire usefully magnetises to itself, and so when not in use you can compactly pack it away.

I love that the cable has also been designed with USB-C on each end so that it is completely reversible and makes both charging and data transfer a breeze. I particularly like using the cable for charging my phone as it is sleek and minimalist and has a 240W capacity, so it also supports fast charging – perfect for taking with you on the go. For data transfer, it can support up to 480Mbps, making it great for working from the office or home.  

My only wish is that the cable was a little longer. The 1-metre length is great for my office, but when trying to charge my phone at night it’s just a little short to reach between my plug and my nightstand. The magnetic aspects would still work well, as any excess wire would be magnetised together to prevent tangles, but it would personally provide greater functionality for my needs.

Overall, a magnetic cable is a brilliant way to transform your cable needs and make your desk space or even your nightstand a little less chaotic. Its compact magnetic design makes it super easy to use, and perfect for throwing in a bag and taking with you on the go.
