JLAB Go Sport+ True Wireless Earbuds

Hitting the gym is one of the best parts of my week, but I’d be useless there without my playlist helping me push through each exercise and reach my goals. For this reason, one of the most important things in my gym bag is a set of earbuds or headphones to keep my spirit and motivation high. Therefore, I was excited to get the chance to review JLAB’s Go Sports+ True Wireless Earbuds, which are designed specifically for sports.

The Go Sport+ Earbuds feature a sport ear hook design, which provides greater stability and security in your ear. I loved the hook design, as they felt very secure even during some tense HIIT workouts and cargo. I’ve previously found other earbuds that don’t have a hook can fall out easily, and with many of them being so small, I always worry about losing them in the gym or on the walk home if they’re dropped.

The earbuds we tested were in the solid black colourway, with the same monochromatic look across both the charging case and the earbuds. The earbuds have 9 hours of battery life, with a further 26+ hours in the charging case. I especially loved that the charging case has an integrated charging cable that clips into the base of the charging case. This means that you never have to worry about a charging cable and can plug directly into your plug or charging device. However, the cable is quite short which can make charging a little more difficult if your plug isn’t near a surface to rest the earbud case on.

The sound of the Go Sport+ True Wireless earbuds is pretty good, especially for the price. I loved having each earbud in while at the gym to drown out everyone around me and focus on each set. Whilst the sound may not necessarily stand up to some at a more luxury price point, they are impressive, especially for only £30. Plus, I like that they’re IP55 splashproof, which means you can use them at the gym without worrying about them getting a bit sweaty.

Whilst I personally love to block everyone out whilst at the gym, I still like to listen to music on my commute there, and for this I love the included ‘Be Aware’ mode. In this mode, you can still hear your music whilst also hearing people and traffic around you. This made me feel safer using the earbuds while on the go, as I could maintain a great awareness of my surroundings. Adjusting this mode and other controls for the earbuds can be accessed via the JLABs App. In the app, you can fully customise the controls to your needs and make the earbuds work even more for you.

Overall, the JLAB Go Sport+ True Wireless earbuds deliver a decent audio experience supported by a great hook design to make them the ideal earbuds for use when working out. The connectivity is great, and pairs quickly with your phone. At only £30, you’re getting a great pair of earbuds that will be a great companion for everyday gym sessions.
