With the weather starting to heat up, the need for a fan is essential – especially in an office without air conditioning! In the summer months, it can feel like my office turns into a sauna, so I rely on a desk fan to keep me cool throughout the day. However, my current fan works fine, but it can be a little loud which isn’t ideal when on calls. Therefore, I was glad to test out a new fan from Lifemax that boasts to be quieter whilst delivering a strong breeze.

The 19cm fan head provides just enough of a breeze to reduce the room temperature, whilst remaining compact enough for use on a desk too.

One of my favourite aspects of the fan is that you can collapse it down to a small unit, ideal for storing compactly and securely when not in use. The compact design makes the unit super portable, and this is aided by its lightweight nature. You can just place the fan down, choose your desired height setting, lock the stand in place and it will sit and provide a lovely breeze without any fuss. Plus, with a 180° angle adjustment on the fan head, you can adjust the fan to get the perfect breeze directed at you no matter where you’re sat.

I love just how quiet the fan is, especially for use when on calls in the summer. I no longer have to turn my fan off to prevent my colleagues from hearing the whirr of my current fan whilst on calls. Instead, the Lifemax Rechargeable Foldaway Fan is designed to be quiet, so for a quiet office or even for use whilst trying to sleep, the fan is perfect for keeping you cool without the noise. Plus, should you suffer from allergies, the front of the fan cover can easily be removed so you can give the fan blades a wipe to help cut down on allergens – great for hay fever sufferers!

To charge the fan, you just need to plug the included charging cable into your own plug and then the wall socket. I love that the fan is rechargeable as it means you can move the fan around and use it as both a desk and standing fan without being tethered to a wall socket.
