Summer means beach days, picnics and adventures with all the family. For all of these occasions having a large tote bag that can carry everything from snacks to a change of clothes, or even towels is essential. I love tote bags for their versatility and ability to fit so much in them, so I was super happy to see the Recycled Woven Tote Bag from Rex London arrive on my desk for review. It is large, looks super summery and is made from recycled plastics – what more could you want from a summer tote bag?

The tote bag comes in a lovely bright pink, yellow and red stripe design with the edges and handles finished with canvas. I love the look of the bag, which has a super summery vibe thanks to the bright colourway. The fabric has been made from woven recycled plastics which ensures that the bag not only looks great but makes it more sustainable too! I love that recycled plastic has been used in its construction, to help reduce waste in the world and produce a super handy tote that will be perfect for summer days out.

The size of the bag is perfect to be used as a summer bag, measuring roughly 28cm by 36cm in size. This large size was super ideal for putting in a towel, a change of clothes, a pair of slides, some suncream, a drink and some snacks for a beach trip with some friends. The bag fits so much inside, and I like that the top has a Velcro closing to help keep your things inside. However, my only wish is that the top would have had a zip for extra security – especially to protect things such as my phone or wallet from being easily accessible.
