I was impressed with the look of the ChargeTree Mag, which is stylish with an all-black mono-chromatic exterior which added an aesthetically pleasing seamless charging unit to my desk. I love that you can use the ChargeTree Mag in a variety of ways from leaving it flat and compact and just charging your phone on the top, or you can fold up the unit to reveal a back charging plate for your earbuds. You can then also fold out a swing arm from the back which provides yet another charging space, designed specifically for your smartwatch.

 The compact yet 3-in-1 design makes it the perfect addition to your desk or nightstand for an all-in-1 charging station. However, with the summer months coming up I think this would be perfect for taking with you on holiday; not only can it be folded up into a compact unit, but it saves the need for taking three separate chargers which will take up vital luggage space. With the ChargeTree Mag, you just need one seamless unit and you’re good to go.

I took this with me on a weekend away and was super impressed with its functionality. I could connect my phone, earbuds and smartwatch before bed, and I woke up with them all fully charged and ready for the day ahead. I will say the charging speed is a little slower than a direct plug and wire connection, however, this is to be expected when the unit is charging three devices simultaneously. I personally found charging them all overnight was fine, and I didn’t notice the extra time it took at all.

However, I must note that the ChargeTree Mag does not come with a plug, even though the unit requires a 20W plug to function. Whilst most of us are likely to have a compatible plug, it would be nice to see a plug included in the box that supports the required wattage. However, the ChargeTree Mag does include a USB-C to USB-C wire in the box for charging and it is a great length for easy charging no matter where your plug sockets may be.

If you are jetting off this summer and are looking to save some luggage space and or just want to cut down on the amount of wires needed to charge all of your devices, the STM Goods ChargeTree Mag is a great choice with its compact, foldable and 3-in-1 charging design – perfect for charging on the go!
