We got to test out the Escape Bivvy, which offers a lightweight, compact and durable sleeping-bag style of cover that is designed to keep you warm and dry no matter the weather conditions. The Escape Bivvy comes packed in a small stuff sack that keeps the bivvy compact, ideal for putting in your hiking bag between uses. Despite its size, which is impressive, offering plenty of space for you even with multiple layers on (we tested the XL size), the Escape Bivvy remains remarkably lightweight, making it perfect for when you’re trying to get the weight of your hiking bag down, whilst still having a shelter option packed away.

The Escape Bivvy is made from SOL’s proprietary Escape ThermaShell material, which is a specialised spunbonded olefin fabric with a metalised coating. This not only makes the bivvy super durable, as it can resist both tears and punctures, but it also ensures that it keeps you warm and dry. Then, the inside reflective lining ensures that 70% of your body heat is reflected back onto you to keep you warm even in cold conditions, whilst the whole thing is still super breathable.  In fact, one of the nifty parts of the design is that even the seams and zips have been made to be completely waterproof to ensure there are no weak spots where water could get into the bivvy. Therefore, the bag can withstand even the harshest of conditions, allowing you to rest whenever and wherever you like with the compact Escape Bivvy.
