After trying out the SpyraThree last year I was super excited to see that the new SpyraGO was available to review, as it boasts to be the lightweight sibling of the pro model whilst delivering all the same water battle fun.

The SpyraGO utilises all the precision shot technology that you love from the previous models and has packaged it into a lightweight and more affordable option. The water gun delivers 120 blasts per minute, through its precision single-shot technology which packs a punch whilst still being a great option for battles whether young or old.

Much like the rest of the SPYRA models, the water gun is unique in that it requires USB charging to keep it delivering its innovative water shots. However, the SpyraGO has a battery cover which needs to be removed using a screwdriver to access the charging port. This ensures that the port stays protected from any water but does make charging a little more of a hassle. Plus, young players will require the help of an adult to do this. Thankfully, the SpyraGO does come with a small screwdriver to make this possible, as well as a short charging cable. I found charging took about 2 hours to fully recharge, and each charge is boasted to deliver 9000 blasts – perfect for the ultimate battle.

In terms of power, the label ‘featherweight fighter’ really does it justice. Weighing only 3 lbs when fully loaded with water, the SpyraGO still manages to deliver powerful shots over an 8-metre range. The lightweight design makes it easier to run about and battle with friends, and with the unique transparent tank you can easily see when you need to refill. To do this you just simply pull back the tank slider on the top, and you can pour water directly in from a bottle, tap, or even from a SpyraBase to refill and return to your battle.

The SpyraGO feels top quality with the trigger, textured handle and easy re-fill all having been carefully crafted to take your summer water fights to the next level. If you’re interested in the water guns by SPYRA but are looking for a more affordable option, the SpyraGO is a great place to start. It delivers the same shot technology that is loved across its range but delivers it in a smaller and more lightweight package perfect for all the family.
