TCP Air Circulator with Heating, Cooling, Humidifier & Air Purifier

£119

When it comes to fans, I thought I had seen it all – but that was before the TCP Air Circulator came across my desk. The fan not only provides great cooling, but it also operates as a heater, humidifier and even an air purifier. This all-in-one design makes the unit the perfect year-round companion to keep your home feeling comfortable – and all for one price! It's safe to say, I was excited to put it to the test.

With the weather making the UK absurdly hot at the moment, the cooling setting was the first thing I had to test out. The Air Circulator has two columns on either side which blow out cool air, offering 8 different speed settings. These settings can be filtered through using the front panel touch display, which shows the speed you are on. With each touch, you can cycle through to option 8, which is the most powerful. This delivers a good level of cool air, and then when the fan oscillates, this helps to move the cooler air around the room. I like the wide oscillation angle to really help push cooler air around the room. Whilst I wouldn’t say it’s the most powerful fan I’ve ever used, it does help to circulate the air and help to make it feel a little cooler, which seems to be the central job of the Air Circulator anyway – and for this it seems pretty effective.

The next setting is the heating mode, which delivers a great level or warm super quickly. Whilst this is likely not super useful in summer when it's already boiling, the immediacy of the heat will be absolutely perfect for the winter to quickly heat up a room. I like that you can set the heat you’d like the room to be at, and then it will work away to heat the room to this temperature. It seems to have a max temperature of 35°C, which is absolutely perfect for winter to warm you up.

The other two settings of the Air Circulator are for humidifying and air purifying. For humidifying, the centre of the unit features a small water tank which can be filled with water. The water can then be released as a vapour through the machine to help add moisture into the air of your room. This moisture is great for anything from sore throats to helping with congestion and even being a useful aid to reduce snoring by keeping the air a little more moist. Then for purifying, the Air Circulator features a HEPA filter, which helps draw impurities out of the air to help with allergens such as dust and pollen. The filter is also designed to help draw odours out of the air – which is an added bonus for the already multi-functional design of the machine.

One of the nice touches to the overall Air Circulator design is that it has a built-in mood light in the centre. This means that, whether for humidifying with essential oils or offering a nice bit of light on a hot evening, the light provides a lovely additional bit of ambience. This gives the Air Circulator a lovely stylish and aesthetic edge over other air circulators to create not only a comfortable temperature, but a nice aesthetic environment too!

The TCP Air Circulator is a 4-in-1 unit that offers great air cooling/circulating, heating, purifying and even humidifying, making it the perfect year-round temperature control option. The small design is great for saving space, whilst still getting the most out of all of its settings to keep you feeling comfortable no matter the weather outside.
