After getting to try some Tracklements goodies last year, we were thrilled to get to try their new Christmas collection! As part of the new Christmas collection, Tracklements have released their Cracking Christmas Collection Gift Pack, including a selection of three delightful condiments perfect for any festive grazing board.

In the Cracking Christmas Collection Gift Pack there is the Christmas Spice Chutney, a Cranberry, Port and Orange Sauce and a Sticky Fig Relish. Much like all of the Tracklements goodies we’ve tried before, these were all absolutely delicious.

The Christmas Spice Chutney is the perfect pairing for sandwiches or cheese boards to add a festive spice to any dish. With apples, onions, cranberries and currents inside it brings together the fruits of the season, as well as some lovely spice from the chillies, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon inside. I’m a big fan of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice during the festive season, so bringing all of these together in this chutney really makes it stand out as a special treat for Christmas.

The next condiment is a Sticky Fig Relish, which provides a rich and tangy flavour to any dish. I’d never tried anything with fig in it before so this was a fun and tasty treat. Each jar contains figs soaked in spiced vinegar which are then cooked in dark sugar to make a fruity, tangy yet sweet relish that hits all the elements of umami. This is lovely when paired with soft cheeses and so it will be perfect for adding to cheese boards this festive season.

The final condiment in the set is the Cranberry, Port and Orange sauce. Now if you like things tart then this is the perfect sauce for you. Made with whole cranberries, and blended with the rich taste of port and a hint of orange, the sauce cuts through meals with its punchy flavour. This makes the perfect addition to any rich or particularly cheesy snack or sandwich to provide a tart but delicious taste.
