Travel Scales with Tape Measure

£6.95

There’s nothing worse than getting to the airport, checking your bag in and realising it is over the typical 20-23kg baggage allowance. This can result in additional fees, which is not the way any of us want to kick off our summer holidays. The best way to prevent this is to weigh your bags at home. Some of us will jump on the scales with the bag in our hand and then try and work out the difference to get the exact weight. However, the best way to weigh your bag is with travel scales, and Rex London has made one that will easily weigh your bags at home and is under £10 in price – a bargain if you ask me!

The Rex London Travel Scales with Tape measure allows you to weigh bags in both kilograms (kg) and pounds (lbs), up to 35kg or 80 lbs. Using the handy top handle, you just hold the scales, attach the bottom hook through your suitcase handle and lift. The scales show just how much your bag weighs using the red arrow. When the black arrow is placed over the red one, it will move with it to the recorded weight, and stay there even when the red arrow returns to zero. This means that you can easily check the weight of your bag even once you’ve put it down. I like the addition of the black arrow into the design of the Travel Scales because it means I can easily weigh my bags alone without struggling to see the scales’ face or needing someone else's help to record the weight.

The entire design of the Travel Scales is compact, with the top handle clipping down behind the scales face, and the bottom hook clipping to the back. This makes the travel scales ideal for taking with you on holiday, and should you make some purchases while away, you have the tools to weigh your bag to check it will still be within the required weight limits to avoid fees on the way home.

As we all know, hand luggage is another issue that will see you faced with costly fees at the airport should your bag not fit into the specific size dimensions and regulations set out by each airline. This common issue has also been taken into consideration with the Travel Scales, and there is an included tape measure built in that can measure up to 102cm or 40 inches. This makes it super easy when packing both your suitcase and hand luggage to ensure one is the right weight and the other is the right size. With the nifty Travel Scales, you will be able to breeze through the airport without any additional fees for your baggage.

If you’re off on holiday this summer or are just a frequent flyer, having good travel scales to avoid additional fees is a must-have. I’ll definitely be using this to check my bags aren't too heavy or large on my next trip!

Pros:

  • Compact travel scales for easy storage or packing

  • Weights up to 35kg/80lbs which is ideal with most airlines offering a typical 20-23kg bag allowance
