I’ve always got an umbrella in my bag no matter where I go because the weather here in the UK is best known for its complete unpredictability. However, over the years I’ve had plenty of umbrellas break with a slight breeze and even sometimes fail to keep me dry! Therefore, I’ve been on the hunt for a compact, lightweight yet effective umbrella that I can keep in my bag and one that (most importantly) won’t break with a slight bit of breeze!  This is where the Weatherman Travel Umbrella comes in that boasts to go all of this, whilst still measuring under 12 inches long!

The Weatherman Travel Umbrella is the perfect size for keeping in your car or bag ready to keep you protected should a rain shower occur. I was super impressed with the size, and once unravelled you just press the opening button and the umbrella pops into place. I liked that there was no struggle with the typical metal clips which I always seem to catch my finger on, and instead, I could unfold, pop open with the button and I was ready to go.

One of the main things I was looking for with a new umbrella is one that could withstand wind gusts without turning inside out. The Weatherman Travel Umbrella has been designed with a reinforced aluminium frame which stands up well against the wind. In fact, the umbrella has been tested by Weatherman and can withstand winds of up to 45mph - great compared to most who fail at a slight breeze!

The umbrella canopy is made from Weatherman’s signature water-repellent fabric which keeps you dry throughout using it, and once you’re done all the rain rolls off easily. The umbrella actually features an auto-close design and quick folding system, designed to make it easy to take down and quickly throw in your bag without any hassle.

Overall, I was super impressed with the umbrella and will definitely be keeping it in my bag for the foreseeable future. It's lightweight, compact, and makes putting up/taking it down a breeze. If you are on the hunt for a new umbrella, it might be worth the slight splurge for an umbrella that you know won’t give up on you at the worst possible time!
