The YETI Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box we got to test out came in a lovely navy colour, which looks modern and stylish. The box features the typical YETI logo on the front, a black top handle and an outer pocket on the back to store additional snacks or your keys and phone. The whole thing feels super sturdy, and upon opening the zipped lid, you are met with the insulated interior. The Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box features Coldcell Flex™ Insulation, which offers superior temperature holding power to keep your food fresh and drinks cold thanks to its closed-cell foam design. Even with reliable insulation, the Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box is still fairly lightweight, especially when compared to other hardshell cool boxes.

The lid of the Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box opens completely, allowing you to gain complete access to the inside of the box. This wide opening makes the Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box ideal for YETI® Ice Sheet and YETI® Food Storage. However, even without these, the bag can easily hold up to 12 cans, or a variety of drinks and food items. I like that the inside of the lid has a PackAttic™ Pocket, as this provides a nice extra space to put things such as napkins, cutlery or sauce packets that are separated from your food below.

I will say once you’ve loaded up the Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box, especially with lots of drinks, it can get a bit heavy. However, YETI have thought of this too and has included a shoulder carry strap with the 9L size. The strap features additional padding and is made from a durable nylon weave, so you can comfortably put the Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box on your shoulder and carry it with ease. This is a great addition to the Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box, and highlights the innovation of YETI’s designs that considers every situation.

Externally, the Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box is super durable and features a waterproof coating, so you don’t have to worry about the typical British weather leaving your snacks wet. Instead, the zipped-up Daytrip® 9L Insulated Box securely stores your food, away from insects, dogs (who might try to pinch your sandwiches), and even a potential rain shower!
