December might not be the ideal time for parties outside but there’s something wonderful about being snuggled around a fire with a blanket, beer, and your mates - alternatively you can wait another 6 months for the temperature to peak before venturing outside. Either way, the KS Diggit is ready when you are. This versatile outdoor speaker connects to your smart device via Bluetooth V4.2 which gives you up to a 10m range, the cool thing about this speaker is that it comes with its very own stake, you can stab it into the ground or any nearby vampires, then simply slide the speaker onto the top. By raising the speaker off the ground, it prevents the audio from being absorbed by the earth, grass or sand, providing 360 degree audio. The Diggit doesn’t come with a case and there is no way of attaching the steak to the speaker when travelling so make sure it doesn’t get swallowed up in your camping gear by mistake.

Like all KS products it is easy pair, it has that familiar and weirdly satisfying on and off tone as well as the audible indicator for when you have successfully paired (without any annoying voices), it offers up to 8 hours of solid playtime but will take a length 3 hours to fully charge. We loved the wood effect finish on this speaker, its like a breath of fresh air and compliments its natural settings, for protection it has and IP55 rating, making it resistant to water jets from any direction as well as dust and sand resistant too. The LED light ring at the top of the speaker helps you locate the speaker in the dark but does make the buttons harder to see in low light, there are 4 buttons in total allowing you to switch on, adjust volume and tracks as well as handle calls. The Diggit is compact at H160 x W62 x D62 (mm) and weights just 350g, however don’t let its size deceive you, its 2x dual-opposing 5 Watt 40mm drivers pack out a punchy sound with rich mid-tones and clean, crisp high-tones, it lacks a little oomph around the bass but not enough to ruin your listening experience. There’s a lot to love about this speaker, it looks good, is super easy to use (even a technophobic granny could get it going), and best of all it sounds great both indoors and outdoors. RRP £39.99
