If you have been to a hotel or a friend’s house where they have a large rainforest style shower head, it seems amazing at first until you realise it doesn’t detach from the wall so if all you need to do is wash your hair, shave your legs, rinse your feet (we don’t want to know what you get up to) you have to strip off and jump in.
The Atom ERD shower from Mira lets you have the best of both worlds in one single unit as you can choose between the Deluge showerhead (200mm) and separate hand shower (90mm) for localised use. The Atom ERD uses the Mira MagniFlo technology which has been designed to deliver up to 3x more flow, even if you have low water pressure, this works by optimising the internal valve waterways and creating double the number of spray nozzles on the showerhead providing you with better coverage and a higher spray force.
The spa like drench shower from the Deluge head will certainly wake you up in the morning, it is especially nice on cold days as it covers your whole body, warming you up quickly, it also makes short work of rinsing shampoo and soap foam away. The hand shower doesn’t have the same surface space but still provides adequate power to wash your hair over the tub. The Atom ERD is complete with adjustable ‘Z’ connectors to fit pipework making installation easier, the minimalist design has separate on/off/ diverter controls and temperature controls.
You can set a maximum temperature to ensure it is safe for all members of the family and the Cool Shield technology ensures the valve doesn’t get hot when
in use and it works on all systems with all water pressure. The rub clean nozzles makes it easy to clean the shower heads and the diverter tap makes it easy to switch between the two, it also features large, long life filters and a replaceable cartridge. The shut off must be spot on or the shower will continue to leak a little but overall it is a good shower, it looks modern and stylish, and provides a powerful and pleasant shower experience.
