LawnMaster 24V Cordless Lawnmower – by Cleva (cleva-uk.com)

May in the UK was one of the wettest in recorded history, so is it any wonder our grasses have been growing at an astonishing rate? I have a couple of lawn mowers at home - a petrol and an electric model, both equally a pain to get out and use. The petrol mower is heavy and cumbersome, and my wife refuses to use it. However, the electric is not strong enough for the job and has the annoying wire that I have accidently cut in half before – and, again, my wife refuses to use it.

I love my grass once I have cut it- the smell, the look of it… However, getting it cut is usually about me trying to justify why I shouldn’t!

The Cordless Lawnmaster 24V 34cm lawn mower could be the answer.  Once I unboxed it, I was surprised to see how light but sturdy it is. It comes with two rechargeable 24V batteries which give well over two hours of use, and of course one can always be charging whilst you use the other in the mower. You can easily check the amount of battery left with a touch of a button. These are not cheap batteries, either - these are high quality Samsung cells.

The brushless motor is clever too: it will automatically adjust the power to the grass conditions, delivering more power when the going gets tougher. A single level adjusts the cutting height from 20mm to 70mm. You are supplied with a mulch plug and a 32L grass collection bag which is collapsible for easy storage. Even the mower folds up small for storage. It has four wheels and a clever roller on the back to give the striped lawn effect. Once stowed away, with safety in mind, there is a safety key you can remove so no one can accidently turn the mower on. You get all of this, and a two-year guarantee.

This is a game changer for me, as I no longer have the stress of a big petrol mower or a cable to plough through, or the excuses from my wife about not being able to cut the grass! That said, I suspect that grass cutting is still a very Blue job in my household, but at least there are fewer excuses.

Pros:

Light

Durable

Great run time

Two batteries

Cordless - No lead

Cons

It’s not pink - then perhaps I could swing it as a pink job!
