The first thing you will notice about the Load Up 22” Carry On from 5.11 Tactical is the exceptional build quality, it looks like a premium product but more than that you can tell it has been carefully crafted with the best of materials. It has been specifically created to protect your belongings whilst travelling by plane; the compact size means it is suitable as carry-on for most international and domestic flights. This bag features a hard-shell PC main compartment to protect more delicate gear, and it has an expandable zip (giving you an extra 2" of depth) which allows you to shove more stuff in when needed but also helps it retain its compact shape when travelling lighter. This bag’s dimensions are 22" x 14" x 9" (11"D with expansion) giving you 45.5L (55.5L with expansion) and it weighs just 7.19 lbs whilst empty. Fragile valuables like your laptop can be safely stowed away in the dedicated padded sleeve, which sits in the lid of the compartment, where there is also an admin pocket as well as access to the middle compartment.

The compression-moulded EVA top lid has durable Hypalon corners for added protection whilst the loop name tape and ID sleeve make it quick and easy to secure and access your ID and other important documents. The bag has a water-resistant 1680D poly (top) and 1050D nylon outer, the bottom tray is made from a durable and impact-resistant polycarbonate shell. The retractable handle feels super strong, slides out and stows away easily, chunky wheels provide a smooth rolling experience and they can be replaced when they become worn so you don’t have to worry too much about what sort of terrain you and your Load Up encounter. My favourite thing about this bag is how everything has a space and its own pocket, turning the contents of your bag upside down hunting for a clean pair of socks is not much fun, so this makes finding and organising your gear a breeze. There is a middle compartment with honeycomb frame, the middle mesh compartment has a removable divider and two-way access to the top and main compartments whilst the internal compression strap in the main compartment holds everything in place.
