I’m not going to lie, when I first set eyes on the lounge hanging chair I thought perhaps it was something from the darker depths of the web…however it is first and foremost exactly what it is called: a hanging chair to lounge around in (all other activities must be undertaken with caution.)
Smut aside, the Lounger Hanger Chair lets you take a seat in the trees whenever you fancy, with a handy adjustable footrest and an adjustable reclined seat. The padded head rest is very comfortable and allows you to gently sway with the breeze. What could make that even better? Just a nice cold beer in the attached drink holder or grab a snack or book from one of the integrated pockets. Bliss!
The Lounger has been created to be a portable hanging chair and is not intended to be left in the elements for prolonged periods of time - if you use it in your garden ensure you take it down at night. It can safely support up to 250lbs (obviously depending on what you decide to hang it from, washing lines are not advisable), and is constructed with a 7075 aluminium frame and 210 ripstop denier.
Available in five different colours: Purple, Teal/Grey, Charcoal/Charcoal, Lime/Royal and Charcoal, it is easy to set up: simply hang the chair from a tree branch or any other strong, sturdy object, adjust the position of the footrest and the angle of the chair and park your backside. This lounger is best suited for family/car camping, gardens and day trips. It isn’t the most compact at 6" x 18" and weighs just over 1.5kg, which doesn’t make it suitable for serious hiking or longer adventures on foot. For ease of storage and carrying it comes with its own stuff sack and ENO state, “ENO attempts to reduce potential waste by using every bit of fabric available in production, so the colour of the stuff sack and stitching might vary from what is pictured”, which scores extra points with us even if it might be a convenient excuse.
We have seen other reviews online that seem to suggest the build quality doesn’t stand the test of time, but from a months’ worth of use and pulling and pushing it about we haven’t seen any cause for concern. We really enjoyed swinging about in the Lounger Hanging Chair: simple to use and wonderfully comfortable, it’s a great way to hang out this summer. RRP $124.95
