When it comes to comfort people often think more is…well more, however you don’t need to have the thickest mattress in the world to get a decent nights sleep. You heard it here first, the Klymit Armored V sleeping pad has been created to offer you an excellent night’s sleep, even on the most rugged of terrain with a thin sleeping pad that can be inflated in less than a minute. The Armored V has 300,000 armoured SuperFabric scales covering the entire underside to create a tough barrier between your and the sticks and rocks that are just itching to dig themselves into your body during the night. They also can resist punctures, slashing, moisture, and abrasion and claim to be strong enough to perform in even the most demanding of outdoor conditions, whilst remaining flexible enough to fold and roll into compact storage.

The Armored V features Body Mapping Technology, this means the patented V-shaped design provides comfort whether you sleep on your side, stomach or back, the Side Rails have been integrated into the patterning and construction, they help keep you in the right place whilst you sleep by centring your body within the pad and inhibiting air movement while moving about whilst you sleep. The Deep Weld Patterning help to prevent the flattening of your sleeping bags padding by allowing the bag to fully loft beneath you, this improves both comfort and insultation whilst the Twist-Pull Valve lets you inflate the sleeping pad in just 10-15 breaths and when you are ready to pack up, simply open it up for speedy and complete deflation. There is a patch kit included for emergency repairs, it weighs in at a rather hefty for 1300g for a slim sleeping pad and will pack down to a not so compact 14cm x 22.9cm, once inflated is measures up at 182.9cm x 58.4cm x 6.4cm, which means that if you are over 6ft you will experience some overhang. The Armored V isn’t the most lightweight or compact of sleeping pads and certainly could do with being a little longer, however is it super tough, comfortable and can be inflated/deflated rapidly, worth considering.
