The Slate sunglasses come in five different designs and we received the Polarized Offshore Blue, featuring (unsurprisingly), polarised lenses that align light rays from the sun, which prevents you from getting dazzled whether you are driving, out on the water or simply chilling in the garden.

We loved the slightly rounded off version of the classic angular design which is flattering for most face shapes, they have a smooth matte black finish on the outside of the frame and an attractive light blue finish on the inside of the frame. These shades have a keyhole nose design with thermogram rubber inserts on both the nose and temple tips which lightly but securely hole the glasses in place, even when covered in sun cream and sweat (oh yes, I am a vision to behold in the summer).

The 8-base wrap provides excellent coverage of the eye, the lenses are B-20.3 polycarbonate and are made from premium grade resin which results in 20 times more impact resistance than glass and three times as light, they come in both polarised and non-polarised. The lenses do more than just look pretty and allow you to stare at people without them realising however, the anti-reflective treatment which has been scientifically engineered and applied to the inside of the lenses to stop any light bouncing back into your eyes. The lenses also feature a Oleophobic treatment, one up from hydrophobic it makes the lenses resistant to oils, grease and dirt as well as water, this particular models lenses are quite dark and best suited for very bright conditions, they also come with a compact, protective case. The frames are flexible, light weight and comfortably hug the face all day without causing pressure marks or fatigue and leave you to get on with looking awesome in the sun. RRP £67.60
