Some people may consider the idea of strapping yourself to a dinner tray and throwing yourself down a mountain as a rather peculiar hobby, however for many people (myself included) snowboarding is the most fun you can have in the cold and everyone knows it’s cooler than skiing (shots fired!!) Part of the snowboarding culture is looking sharp on the slopes, your outfit either needs to be sleek and stylish or bold and loud, but whatever you decide to go for it is essential your gear can withstand the harsh conditions on and off the piste. The PM2 Polartec Trousers are from Dainese’s AWA collection, that’s the All Weather Activity collection, an iconic winter collection made for superior all-weather protection, with thermal isolation and optimal fit in all cold-climate conditions, and can handle everything from mountain peaks to chilling in the bars. The PM2 come in three colourways: Black-Iris/Stretch-Limo (navy), Gun-Metal/Stretch-Limo (grey) and Stretch-Limo/Stretch-Limo (black), all featuring taped seams around the pockets that wrap around over the tail bone for a flattering and clean finish.

The pants have a fitted shape and are made out of Polartec Power Shield which is resistant to wind, water and snow, they are comfortable, allowing you to have complete freedom of movement, essential for moving about on the board and falling over (you don’t need the added embarrassment of ripped trousers after stacking it off the chair lift). There are two taped zip-up pockets on the front, ideal for keeping items that need safe and dry storage, with a water column of 5000mm. All the zips are water-tight, there is Velcro strap adjustment and belt loops to ensure a tight fit, the fully-sealed seams keep you dry and the boot snow gaiters have a silicone grip to help them stay in place and keep out the powder, with ski edge protection at the leg hem for added durability. We received the all black version of these trousers and we found the material was a dust, fluff and hair magnet, apart from this the PM2 are comfortable, flexible and high-performing trousers, keeping you looking smart, warm and dry whilst you tear it up on the slopes.
