The DL GO has capacities ranging from 4GB to 64GB, this ensures that there’s a hard drive capacity to suit your personal or team needs. To ensure all your data is secure, the USB features top-tier AES 256-bit XTS encryption hardware. This means that from the very moment you plug in your USB drive, the files on it are protected. I like that the DL GO is super easy to use, without much experience or IT knowledge. When first plugged in, a read-only launcher will appear, which allows you to access the DataLocker app, where you can unlock your device. This is where you’ll be able to set up a password for the DL GO, and where you’ll unlock the drive for each use. Once you have unlocked the device, the encrypted secure storage drive will become available, ready for you to drop your files into. You can also set up a biometric passkey if your device has Windows Hello or Touch ID to make unlocking even more secure using just your fingerprint.

I like that the DL GO features a brute force attack defence, so if the password is incorrectly attempted 10 times, the data on the device will be erased. This ensures that should the drive end up in the wrong hands, the files on it cannot be accessed, and after too many failed unlocking attempts, all the information on it will be erased for added security. However, should you just forget your password, the DL GO works with MySafeConsole, which provides device management, including password recovery. This is a super useful thing to have on hand and ensures that in the event of a forgotten password, you can still access your files whilst still keeping them safe from anyone else.
