Logitech Flip Folio

Versatility and functionality are what come to mind when I think of the Flip Folio from Logitech. The case and keyboard hybrid allows you to work where you want, how you want, and when you want with a keyboard and screen set up to make tasks a breeze.

The Flip Folio from Logitech combines the safety and protection of an iPad case with the functionality of a keyboard. The case magnetises to your iPad, providing great levels of scratch and bump protection across both the front and back of your device. The case folds out into a supportive stand that can be adjusted to your preferred viewing angle.

The case attaches to your iPad using a sturdy magnetic connection, which ensures a firm grip of your device so it won’t slip out in your bag, where it could get damaged. One of the big benefits of this magnetic connection is that you can easily turn your iPad from landscape to portrait, offering a variety of viewing angles to suit whatever type of work you’re doing. From typing up a presentation to scrolling social media, you can just move your screen to your desired orientation and keep working without having to wrestle with your case. Plus, once connected in a portrait mode, you can even pair the keyboard with your device for multi-screen operations to boost productivity no matter where you are.

Aside from being a top-quality case for your iPad, the Flip Folio also comes with a magnetic full-sized keyboard that snaps to the front of the Flip Folio for easy storage when on the go. The keyboard is remarkably thin, and barely noticeable when attached to the front of the Flip Folio cover. However, by simply removing the keyboard and propping your iPad up on the Flip Folio case, you have a screen and keyboard set up like you’d have with any laptop. This transforms your iPad instantly into a more formal set-up, where you can type without the need for a keyboard on the screen, whilst still making the most of your iPad’s touchscreen navigation.

I like that the keyboard has been designed with functionality in mind, and so features a whole row of IOS shortcut keys to make actions and controls even easier. Therefore, the Flip Folio is a game-changer for anyone who works on the go and needs a more formal keyboard and screen setup from time to time, whilst still having the versatility and flexibility that comes with working on your iPad. This would be the perfect pairing for those who love to work from coffee shops or co-working spaces, to have a screen and keyboard set up in their bag that is easy to transport and ready to go wherever they choose to work.

Unlike many other keyboards, the one in the Flip Folio does not require recharging as it instead uses button cell batteries to deliver up to 2 years of battery life, depending on usage. This means that you never have to worry about your keyboard being uncharged when you want to be productive. However, the batteries will eventually need to be replaced when they do run out. Thankfully, the keyboard does automatically turn off when connected to the case to help save as much battery as possible, and help extend its lifespan.

If you work on the go and want to make the most out of your iPad, the Flip Folio is an excellent option to protect your device while delivering extra functionality for any task or activity. From a stable and reliable platform for your iPad to a magnetic and functional keyboard, the Flip Folio has been carefully designed with versatility in mind to enhance workflows whilst keeping up with your on-the-go lifestyle.

Pros:

  • Magnetic case to firmly hold your iPad whilst remaining easy to move for use of your iPad both in landscape and portrait modes
  • Seamlessly integrated magnetic keyboard that is compact but super functional
  • Multidevice pairing for seamless functionality across multiple devices

Cons:

  • I’d have liked for the keyboard to be rechargeable, because when the batteries run out, they will need to be replaced. However, I am glad the lifespan of the batteries is meant to be quite substantial, so they shouldn’t need replacing too often.
