Navitel R2 Full HD Dash Camera

£44.99

It’s summer, so more of us are on the roads going on fun days out and travelling to holiday destinations. However, with this increase in cars on the road, a reliable road assistant is more important than ever. I personally don’t go anywhere without a dash cam in my car after seeing so many people paying out excessive amounts when insurance companies cannot determine who was 100% at fault for an accident. Sadly, accidents do occur and with a dash cam in my car, I feel way more confident that I have my own eyewitness to events. Therefore, I was excited to test out the Navitel R2 Full HD Dash Camera which aims to do just that through its top-quality camera.

The Navitel R2 Full HD Dash Camera uses a 4-layer glass lens to capture top-quality 1080p video at 30 fps. The camera captures an excellent view of the road with its 140° camera angle, so you can drive safely knowing it is recording all traffic both in front and in nearby lanes too.

To use the dash cam, you simply plug it into your car's auxiliary power outlet and attach it to the front windscreen using the included suction holder. Once connected, you need to input a MicroSD card which will store all of your footage. However, this is not included in the box, so will need to be purchased separately. Once connected you are ready to use the dash camera, and with the intuitive front buttons, you can record and playback footage with ease. I especially loved that the dashcam has been designed to turn off with your car’s engine so once in place, you never have to worry about reinstalling or fiddling with it too much. This makes getting where you need to go easier, supported by the watchful eye of your Navitel R2 Dash Camera.

One of my favourite aspects of the dash cam is that it has a parking mode which can detect vibrations and will start recording even whilst you’re parked. This means that even if you’re away from your car, and the dash camera has been turned off, it can still turn on and record in an emergency. This is essential for capturing if your car is hit whilst parked, or if someone tries to break into your vehicle. I loved the extra bit of peace of mind this gives even when you’re not in the car.

Overall, the Navitel R2 Full HD Dash Camera does exactly what it says it will; it delivers crystal clear recording whilst on the move and even whilst parked to ensure that should anything occur you have your own record of events. With Navitel you’re in safe hands and can enjoy all of your road trip adventures this summer knowing you have this nifty bit of kit recording every step of the way.

Pros:

  • 1080p and 30fps recording quality
  • Easy to install and intuitive to use
  • Parking mode for added protection even whilst the car is parked

Cons:

  • Does not come with a MicroSD card, so this does need to be purchased separately.
