The TOZO Open EarRing headphones feature an innovative clip-on design that sits outside of your ear, providing a great sound experience whilst allowing you to stay aware of your surroundings. I haven’t used many open-ear headphone designs before, so I was super excited to put them to the test.

Each of the TOZO Open EarRing headphones features a clip-on design that sits around the middle of your ear. The two parts are connected by a memory steel wire covered in skin-friendly silicone, which allows you to perfectly adjust the Open EarRing to fit your ear’s shape and offer a secure fit. The inner part of the Open EarRing delivers music directly into your ears, whilst the exterior offers complete control over your headphones. The headphones do take a little getting used to and do need a little wiggle and adjustment to find the perfect placement that feels secure. However, once clipped on securely, each one is remarkably lightweight and feels comfortable for long hours of wear. 

I love that the open ear design of the Open EarRing allows you to stay aware of your surroundings, whilst still enjoying your favourite music, podcast or audiobook. For me, I love listening to music on my walk to work, or whilst at the gym. In both of these settings, staying aware of my surroundings is pivotal for safety. Therefore, the Open EarRing provides a useful way to keep my music flowing in both ears, whilst allowing me to remain focused on the world around me. Plus, without the earpiece being directly in your ear canal, the Open EarRing headphones are perfect if you find traditional earphones or earbuds a bit uncomfortable in your ears, because the Open EarRing stay outside of the ear canal, offering a much more comfortable wearing experience.

Supporting the innovative design is a powerful sound that delivers an impressive bass and a decent level of clarity. The open ear design does mean that some sound is lost, and if you’re in a particularly quiet environment, others may be able to hear a bit of your music. However, for use on the go or whilst being active, they provide the perfect sound quality to support an active lifestyle. Plus, for just under £40, you’re getting a great sound quality for the price, as well as a unique and innovative design. Then, for more enhanced noise personalisation, you can even connect the Open EarRings with the TOZO App, where you can choose from 32 preset EQs, or access more than 2,000 personalised EQs that have been created and shared by audiophiles from across the world.

To control the Open EarRing headphones, you just need to tap the exterior part of the earpiece. The touch controls allow you to have full control of your Open EarRings without needing to get your phone out of your pocket – perfect while on the go, at the gym or on a run. However, I will note that depending on the shape of your ears, the touch controls can accidentally be pressed, which can cause unwanted controls to be triggered. Whilst this wasn’t too much of an issue for me, it is something to note and may just need more adjusting on your ear to get the perfect fit, where the touch controls aren’t able to be accidentally touched.

I was glad to see that the Open EarRing headphones come with an impressive 40 hours of battery life, so they’re ready to support you for hours every day without stopping. Plus, the case features a smart LED display, so you can see the power in each headphone and how much is left in the case. Therefore, without even putting the headphones in, you can see their power and know if they need charging – so you’re never caught out mid gym session with no music!

Overall, the TOZO Open EarRing headphones offer a unique and innovative design, backed by a high level of sound technology.
