The early stages of parenthood aren’t easy, on top of the sleep deprivation, constant feeds and comforting there will be an instant doubling of house hold chores to try and squeeze in between naps and desperately needed showers. This all becomes 100 times harder if your little one can’t bare to be put down for more than 5 minutes. Melissa, the Hana Baby Wrap product designer, soon discovered the joy of baby wraps when her 3week old wouldn’t allow her to be put down even for sleeping. She discovered that during the warmer months the wrap she was using was simply too hot to wear, so she decided to create her own. The idea behind the Hana Wrap was to not only remain cool and comfortable in warmer conditions but to also use a good fabric that’s friendly for baby and the planet. The Hana Baby Wrap is made from a bamboo fabric with added organic cotton and just a touch of elastane for a bit of stretch. Bamboo grows incredibly quickly, doesn’t require pesticides or fertilizers to grow (only needing rain water) making bamboo one of the most sustainable fabrics around. Bamboo fabric is also thermos regulating and more breathable than cotton keeping you warm on colder days and cooler and dryer on hotter days, on top of all that the Hana Baby Wrap feels silky soft against your skin.

The wrap provides full head and neck support, helps correct hip development without putting pressure to baby's spine or pelvis and distributes baby's weight evenly over both shoulders and back to reduce pressure points and back pain, it is suitable from birth up to 12.5 Kg. The Hana Baby Wrap is super comfortable whether you are wearing it around the house or out and about, like any wrap it takes a little bit of practice to get used to putting on but once you get the hang of it you won’t look back and knowing you are doing your bit for the planet is always a bonus.
