The answer to this problem has, for a long time, been large cushioned booster seats that raise the child up higher to fit the seatbelt, however the mifold Children’s car seat works by repositioning the belt rather than the child. The mifold slips the seat belt under two fastenings on either side of the legs and a clip lowers the belt onto the shoulder. The seat has foam padding for comfort and is made with aircraft grade aluminium 6061 T6 (light & as strong as steel), DuPont Delrin 100ST, (super tough plastic for superior impact resistance), is suitable for ages 4-12 (up to 150cm), is an E8, Group 2/3 “Universal” child restraint system and is in accordance with the regulations ECE R44.04.

The best bit about the mifold is how portable it is, it folds in half and will easily fit in school backpacks or glove compartments making it great to use in taxis, hire cars, car-pooling or in extended family member’s cars. The mifold is an innovative product but it can be fiddly to use, you may find yourself climbing over the seat to help clip your little passenger in but with a bit of practice it becomes easier.
