 With Spring and Summer just a few months away, garden parties and barbeques will soon return, and with them a whole array of food, drink and fun. For me, no summer event is complete until you have a lovely pitcher of iced tea, and every year I’m searching in my cupboard for a jug to make the delicious drink. Thus, I was excited when the Airtight Pitcher from Adagio Teas arrived on my desk. What better than an all-in-one infuser, ready to take the stress out of making iced tea?

The Airtight Pitcher we got to test out came in a lovely red colourway with a red spout and handle, whilst the rest of the pitcher is clear, with a stainless-steel top lid handle, and a grey infuser basket. The jug can hold 2 litres and features a useful airtight leak-free lid which ensures that you don’t have to worry about any of your precious drinks escaping. The overall pitcher feels super durable, made from BPA-free Tritan plastic, so you can use it over and over again for delicious beverages all year long.

I like how simple the pitcher is to use, with the lid twisting off using the stainless-steel handle. Once the lid is removed, you can then access the infuser basket, which you can fill with your favourite loose-leaf tea, tea bags, or even coffee. You can then pour in your cold or room temperature water over your chosen tea or coffee and let it sit and brew overnight, secured with the airtight lid. You then just remove the airtight seal lid, and can pour your favourite iced tea or coffee cold brew.

One of the most innovative things about the Airtight Pitcher is that Adagio Teas has made the jug rectangular-shaped to allow it to easily fit into a fridge door. This is a brilliant idea, as often finding space for a large pitcher without removing a shelf can be a real struggle. Instead, the 2-litre pitcher can be stored in the fridge door, infusing away overnight and ready for drinking the next day. However, if you don’t have the fridge door space, the Adagio Airtight Pitcher is also designed to be completely airtight, so you can actually lay the pitcher down on its side on a shelf in the fridge without any leaks. This brilliant addition to the design makes storage of the pitcher even more flexible in your space.
