Nokta Triple Score PRO Pack Metal Detector

£499.95

One of my favourite activities in the summer months is taking to the beach to metal detect for hidden treasure. It's become a fun pastime, as it is always exciting to find an old coin – or even just a rusty screw! Either way, it gets you out of the house and spending some fun time with the family. For this reason, I was excited to test out the Triple Score Pro Pack Metal Detector from Nokta Detection Technologies. The metal detector is designed to deliver top-quality precision detection in an easy-to-use unit that you can simply turn on and get detecting without much fuss.

The Triple Score from Nokta Detectors is a top-of-the-range treasure detection tool that brings together all the things you love about their previous models including its superior ergonomics and build, and now leads the way in advanced metal detection through Nokta’s simultaneous multi-frequency platform.

The detector comes in a few different parts that just need to be slotted together. It’s clear the build quality and construction are super durable supported by the carbon fibre shafts. Inside the box, there is the Metal Detector System Box with a backlit display interface for easy viewing, a waterproof DD 30cm by 23cm search coil, a waterproof DD 24cmx15cm search coil, USB charging and data cable, and a pair of Bluetooth aptX™ low latency headphones. The detector is pretty easy to assemble and get started thanks to the instructions inside which are easy to follow and go through everything you will need to know. The Triple Score is supported by a rechargeable battery which can store up to 12 hours of battery life for easy and long-life use whilst out and about treasure hunting.

One of the main perks of the Triple Score is that is designed to deliver top-quality simultaneous multi-frequency detection, all whilst being integrated into a user-friendly design. I love that there are no super complicated menus and settings to work your way through and instead, it can be powered on and used straight away with only four central search modes, including park, field, beach and relic. The Triple Score delivers enhanced tone options, an iron volume setting and a tone break feature specifically for tone Region-1 to give you even greater control and customization over your detecting. For this reason, the Triple Score makes it simple to master whilst still achieving great results. Plus, with the whole thing weighing in at only 1.2kg, the power and design really is impressive.

The Triple Score comes with both a 24cmx15cm and a 30cmx23cm waterproof DD search coil. This means that the detector is perfect for hunting in wet sands and salt water, whilst still getting the precision and stability you get in the field, park and relic modes. In fact, the Triple Score is completely waterproof, so it can be fully submerged in water up to 16ft without any problem. This means that you never have to worry about any water or dirt getting on your unit – so you can focus all your energy on treasure hunting!

One of the exciting things about the Triple Score is that it has a Relic mode, which is a new search mode feature just for the Triple Score. This mode is designed specifically for discovering historical artefacts, which for many of us is the reason why we’re metal detecting in the first place. With an increased sensitivity setting (1 to 15), the Triple Score delivers precision hunting for such treasure, at a price point that is practically unheard of for the specs.

The Triple Score is sold at an almost unbelievable price, especially for the high-end performance it delivers. Fitted with some of the best technology in the metal detecting market, and delivering it in an ergonomic, easy-to-use and functional manner; it makes the Triple Score a super exciting creation by Nokta Detectors.  With simultaneous multi-frequency precision for turn-on and go detecting, and an increased recovery speed, the performance of the Triple Score is truly unmatched for the price it is sold - which is barely a fraction of the price that many on the market using the same level of precision technology are sold for.

Whilst finding treasures will entirely depend on where you’re hunting and if there’s any treasure to be found, with the Triple Score you really do have the best shot. In terms of its pinpoint detection, it was very good, and I could find the location of whatever was being detected fairly easily with a little digging around. The Triple Score actually offers superior frequency options that make finding treasures even more precise, whilst having a bottle cap rejection setting to filter out the unwanted alerts. This helps to filter through the possible alerts to provide greater accuracy for your discoveries.

I liked that the metal detector vibrated when it had located something, which helped further confirm a discovery alongside a sound. For the sound, the Triple Score comes with its own set of Bluetooth headphones, which help to identify targets with the help of 60 ID target sounds built in. The overall performance of the metal detector was very good, and it was super easy and straightforward to get the hang of – even for a novice such as myself.

If you’re looking at getting into metal detecting, the Triple Score PRO Pack Metal Detector really is the best option. It delivers all of the technology you’d expect from some of the most expensive models in the market but at a ridiculously affordable price. It delivers unparalleled precision whilst still being accessible with a complete user-friendly focus on the design and ergonomics of the unit.
