I’ve tested many TOZO earbuds over the years, and each one brings together a well-thought-out design, great sound quality and comfortable all-day wear – and the NC20 Pro Earbuds are no exception. However, the NC20 Pro feature an innovative full colour touchscreen charging case, offering a unique way to control your earbuds. The touchscreen display adds a lovely, user-friendly touch that I haven’t seen to this extent on a pair of earbuds before.

The NC20 Pro Earbuds case’s full colour display provides a great insight into your earbuds, offering you the chance to monitor the charge in both earbuds and the overall charge in the case. However, it can be used to control your earbuds, whilst also allowing you to control the noise cancellation level, answer calls and even set the EQ of the earbuds without needing to use your phone. This level of control is usually reserved for an app alone, but the NC20 Pro bring this control into the charging case to make using the earbuds even easier. The touch screen display is high quality, and the controls are easy to use to swipe through the various settings.

In terms of the earbuds themselves, they are designed with the high-quality feel that I’ve come to expect from TOZO. Each one offers a secure fit supported by silicone ear tips that make each one comfortable to wear. Each earbud also features touch controls to help change your song, answer/end calls, skip songs, change the ANC setting and even access voice assistant. One of my favourite things about the earbuds' design is that they have wear detection, which means that they automatically pause your audio when you remove them from your ears, and play it when you put them back in. This can be turned on and off via the charging case, but it's super useful for listening to music whilst working or at the gym, so you can quickly take your earbuds out to talk, without worrying about pausing your music first.

For sound quality, the NC20 Pro are impressive, built with high-resolution audio in mind to deliver studio-quality sound, supported by smart and innovative features. Each earbud features 12mm Dynamic drivers featuring a Diamond-like-Carbon (DLC) Diaphragm, which delivers a 12Hz-40kHZ ultra-wide frequency range. This range ensures a powerful bass, where every high note is captured in crystal clear detail. The resulting audio is pure and clear, allowing it to easily capture music, audiobooks, games, podcasts and TV show audio with clarity and depth for an immersive listening experience. 

However, the NC20 Pro take this immersion one step further thanks to the earbuds’ active noise cancellation (ANC). The earbuds feature adaptive hybrid ANC, which adapts to surrounding noise to adjust the level of noise cancellation required in the earbuds. This real-time noise monitoring helps create the most immersive listening experience. However, the earbuds also feature full ANC modes and Transparent Mode for more flexible noise cancellation depending on your preference. Overall, the earbuds can deliver up to -52dB of noise cancellation, which helps to create a complete audio bubble, keeping external noise out and allowing you to enjoy your music without distractions. To adjust the noise cancellation, you can tap the left earbud or adjust the setting directly on the charging case.

For calls, the earbuds feature 6 microphones, which utilise an AI-powered noise reduction technology to ensure that things like noise and traffic won’t be transmitted over the call. This helps to ensure clearer calls by highlighting your voice and cutting down background sound. Then, for gaming, the earbuds offer 0.05 ultra-low latency to deliver a superior audio-video sync so you can enjoy games and talk with friends with very little delay. The earbuds connect via Bluetooth 5.4, offering the most optimised connection, where, once connected, you just need to open the case, and your earbuds will be connected to your device.

One of my favourite things about the NC20 Pro earbuds is that they offer up to 80 hours of battery life with the case, and 16.5 hours per charge with the ANC turned off. However, even with the ANC on, you can get up to 63 hours, with 12.5 hours from a single charge. This is perfect for all day long listening, taking you from the office to the gym without needing to pause to recharge. Plus, with the earbuds designed with IPX8 waterproofing, each one has a HydroGuard™ full sealed cavity to ensure that no sweat or water can affect them. To further ensure water stays out of the earbuds, they also feature one-tap water ejection.

Whilst the charging case offers great control over the earbuds, the NC20 Pro can also be connected via the TOZO App to truly optimise your listening experience. The app allows you to completely tailor your audio experience, filtering through 32 preset EQ settings and thousands of customised EQs which have been developed by audiophiles worldwide. The app provides a more in-depth customisation, so you can fully tailor your listening experience to your sound and music preferences.
