Staying hydrated in the summer heat is super important, and especially important for kids as they run about enjoying the sunshine. However, with many plastic water bottles, drinks get warm and then kids don’t want to drink them! Therefore, I was pleased to see b.box has developed an insulated drink bottle designed for kids to help keep them hydrated whether at school or playing in the garden.

The 500ml insulated bottle feels sturdy with a stainless-steel body and colourful flip-up lid. When the lid is flipped up a straw is revealed, making it even easier for kids to drink with the free-flow straw design. However, I love that when the lid is shut it has been designed so that it is completely sealed, and water won’t end up leaking all over the place.

One of the big perks of the insulated bottle is that it is dishwasher safe so that the cap and bottle can be easily washed up. However, the straw does take a little more work and needs the silicone straw top to be removed, and then the straw stem. I’d recommend getting a straw cleaner for these to really make sure there are no hidden germs left behind. Sadly a straw cleaner is not included in the bottle, but I thankfully had a few straw cleaners lying around from other cups so this wasn’t a super big problem for me. However, I’d definitely recommend looking into getting one alongside the bottle for easy cleaning.

The bottle boasts to keep drinks cold for up to 15 hours and warm up to 8. Whilst I haven’t tested out the warm side as we are currently in the midst of summer, the cool insulation has been great and I was even impressed with how cold the water still was when emptying what was left at the end of the day.

If you’re on the hunt for an insulated bottle to keep your kids' drinks cold and encourage them to drink more during the day, the b.box insulated drink bottle is an excellent choice. It is pretty easy to clean, keeps drinks cold for a long time, and has a functional straw/seal lid to make drinking fun whilst avoiding leaks.
