RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) is a common work-related injury that is often caused by using your muscles and joints in the wrong way time and time again. The K2 keyboard aims to alleviate physical stress on your arms whilst helping to create extra space in your work space. The K2 is a mini keyboard - its slim 5mm profile allows you to free up more desk space for things like three-day old coffee cups and cats (or is that must my desk?). This keyboard is compatible with all operating systems that support HID 1.1, including Windows XP or later, Mac OSX version 10.1 or later and most Linux/BSD flavours. There is no extra software or driver installation necessary, so after the initial charge you are ready to go. However, the Mac operating system does not support all of the K2’s special functions.

The keys are quiet and tactile, with a scissor key design that is a pleasure to use. The K2 is powered by a AAA 1.2V NiMH Recharging battery (everyday use lasts approximately two months before charging is needed) and will recharge via USB. If you are caught without you charger, you can use an LR 03/AAA/1.5V Alkaline none-rechargeable battery, but you must remember not to recharge the keyboard with these batteries in, as it could damage the device. The Nano USB-receiver 2,4GHz, wireless reaches a maximum of five metres, which is more than enough to roam about the office. Like many keyboards, the special functions are activated by holding the Fn key, followed by the correct number, and Num Lock actives the numpad functions. The K2 also features an LED indicating battery status. It is available in black or white and in six language layouts: UK, US, FR, DE, CH and Nordic.
