The Beeline Moto is a smart navigation for motorcycles with a compact and clear display, freeing you from the choice of either a bulky and expensive traditional sat nav or risking attaching your fragile mobile to the outside of the bike. The idea of jumping on a motorbike and heading into the sunset is seen as romantic but getting lost is really just a big pain in the butt, especially when you are on a tight schedule. The Beeline works alongside your smartphone by giving you directions at a glance in an intuitive way, right there in your field of view, it has a simple and clean finish, without offering any other distractions, no email alerts or PPI calls to distract you. The Beeline comes in a choice of Black or Metal finishes, the route mode guides you through each turn on the route with just an arrow, a distance countdown, and a next turn indicator, for roundabouts, lane changes and forks, some extra guidance is provided to keep you on track. If you want complete freedom, compass mode will point you directly to your destination, so you can find your own route and get there in your own time, the Beeline app allows you to plan routes and see your journey history and is available for both iOS and Android. The app is easy to use, you can build your own routes and save them in the route planner, or import any GPX file, you can save your favourite places and routes and opt to avoid motorways, tolls and ferries. The Beeline fixes to the bike via the sticky pad modular mount, universal elastic strap mount, metal bar clamp mount or metal mirror stalk clamp suitable for any bike or scooter. The Beeline will work across the globe, straight out of the box, each one-hour charge will give you 30hours of battery life (without backlight) and has months of standby time, to ensure it is ready when you are. This navigation system is both waterproof and shockproof, it has an IP67 rating to protect it from water and dust, we found the buttons were a little stiff to begin with loosen up over time, it worked well in the city but struggled in the countryside (like so many navigation systems out there). It isn’t like other navigation systems in that is really scaled back, you can only see one move at a time, there is no traffic info or speed camera alert, some people will hate this while others will appreciate it this more simplistic approach. If you are just looking for a little guidance around the city this is a cool device if you are looking for detail instructions out in the countryside is it probably worth looking elsewhere.
