This is such an innovative idea and we haven’t seen anything like it on the market before so I was excited to have a play. I will admit I am not keen on the appearance of the Guitar Wing, when its attached to my Gibson it makes me cringe slightly and I can’t help but compare it to the Guitar hero toy guitars, but this is purely down to personal vanity. So what is it? The Guitar Wing is a MIDI control surface that communicates wirelessly to your computer or USB-MIDI host, it comes with its own software, WingFX™, or you can use it with your own pre-existing software, Logic, Garage Band, Ableton Live, Guitar Rig, Reason, and many others. There aren’t any extra wires to deal with as the Guitar Wing is wireless and uses Bluetooth LE MIDI to connect with anything that is MIDI compatible.
emplates are available for popular software platforms such as Ableton Live, Guitar Rig, Logic, and more. The Guitar Wing can also be used to control MIDI hardware like Axe-FX or Eventide pedals, using your computer and MIDI interface or a USB-MIDI host. There are lots of tutorials on the website and their Youtube so it makes setting up and learning everything you need to know very easy. There is so much this can do and it’s all at your fingertips so you don’t have to worry about dragging pedals about or stopping the jam to reach for the mouse, whether you are jamming or recording or playing on stage there is always a use for the Guitar Wing, it’s a cleverly designed accessory with a range of uses.
