If like me, you are a keen runner but easily put off by anything less than perfect conditions, then having the right running apparel is essential. The All Weather Jacket comes with a large price tag but also the promise you will be able to use it all year round making it an invaluable item in your wardrobe. What sets the All Weather Jacket apart is the fabric, 71% Nylon/Polyamid and 29% Elastane is has a rough brushed finish that quickly became apparent to be a magnet for cat hair, fluff and dust, it has a double DWR coating (durable water repellent) to keep you protected from the rain. The soft lining means you can wear straight against your skin as a base layer or with light or reflective layers on top and the stretchy material means you can comfortably layer up underneath without restricting movement.

The jacket is nice and light, it managed to keep in the heat without being bulky but at the same time still allowed the skin to breathe, if you have the pleasure of running in a downpour, the water beads off keeping you nice and dry (well your top half at least). To keep you visible in built up areas there is reflective tape on all the seams, the semi-raglan sleeves and bonded seams help prevent any rubbing on the shoulders and encourage a full range of movement. For storage of keys, gloves, phones or emergency jelly babies (excellent fuel source), there is a large pocket across the lower back and chest pocket both with waterproof zips. As is often the case with these types of zips they are quite stiff, the zip pulls are long enough to access with gloves on, unlike the main zip which is quite stumpy. The sleeves feature thumb holes to help keep out drafts and wind and provide extra protection to the back of your hands and the slim fit delivers a flattering profile and keeps your nicely streamlined. This high performing jacket is a good choice for year long runners however the texture may not be for everyone and if you own two white cats like I do, you will be grabbing the lint roller to avoid looking like a yeti.
